Many travel websites tend to overwhelm visitors with excessive information, making it difficult to find relevant details. Additionally, the client required a solution that would enhance community engagement by allowing users to explore, interact, and share their experiences.
To address these challenges, the design approach focused on clarity, ease of navigation, and visual storytelling. The homepage features a captivating hero section with high-resolution imagery and a search functionality that allows users to quickly find relevant travel content. The website is structured into sections that separately highlight the best of Bend and Frederick, offering categorized recommendations in a visually appealing grid layout. A dedicated section for community engagement encourages users to subscribe, share experiences, and stay updated with recent discoveries. The combination of a clean design and well-organized content ensures an engaging and seamless browsing experience.
The client envisioned a luxurious yet nature-inspired aesthetic that highlights the beauty of both destinations. They prioritized large visuals, minimalistic typography, and a vibrant color scheme to reflect outdoor adventures while ensuring the design aligns with industry standards and maintains a unique brand identity.
The logo reflects a modern and adventure-centric design, aligning with the brand’s identity. It incorporates elements that symbolize exploration, community, and travel experiences.
The color scheme is inspired by nature and urban exploration, combining earthy greens, deep blues, and neutral tones. Green conveys the outdoor adventure aspect, while darker shades provide a professional and premium touch. This balance ensures the website feels inviting, adventurous, and reliable.
The initial wireframes were designed to prioritize content clarity and user navigation. The layout was structured into sections that allow users to explore different categories effortlessly. Interactive prototypes were created to test the flow and refine the user experience before finalizing the design.
