3D Packaging Mockups & Rendering
3D packaging rendering turns your artwork and dieline into photoreal images of the finished pack, without a photoshoot or a physical prototype. It lets you show a product to buyers, backers, and shoppers before it is manufactured, for pitch decks, crowdfunding pages, tradeshows, and marketplace listings. We build the renders from your existing design files, though a render is a visualization, not a photo of a real product, and final printed color is always confirmed on a physical proof.

What it is
What is 3D packaging rendering?
3D packaging rendering is the creation of photoreal images of a package using 3D software, built from your label artwork and the dieline, rather than from a photo of a real product. The artwork is wrapped onto an accurate 3D model of the pack and lit in a virtual studio, producing images that look like professional product photography of a pack that may not physically exist yet.
This matters most before a product is made, when you need to show it to retail buyers, crowdfunding backers, or online shoppers and there is nothing to photograph. Renders are used for pitch decks, tradeshow visuals, focus-group tests, and marketplace listings, and they can be updated as the design changes without a reshoot. A render is a visualization built to look real, not a photo of a finished product, and the exact printed color and finish are still confirmed on a physical proof or sample.

Why it matters
Why packaging renders matter
Done well, a 3D render shows a finished-looking product before one physically exists.
Sell before you build
Photoreal visuals that let you pitch buyers, backers, and shoppers before the product is manufactured.
Marketplace-ready packshots
Clean, correctly sized renders for Amazon, Shopify, and other listings, without a photoshoot.
Easy to update
Renders rebuilt from the same model when the design changes, with no reshoot needed.
Who this is best for
The right fit
Best fit when
You need photoreal images of a pack that is not made yet, for a pitch deck, a crowdfunding page, a tradeshow, or a marketplace listing, and you already have or can create the artwork and dieline. It fits launches, pre-sell, and refreshes that need visuals fast.
You might not need this
If you do not have a design yet, you need the artwork created first, so start with a design page such as Food & Beverage Packaging Design or the vertical that fits your product. If your product already exists and you want its real photos retouched, that is photo editing rather than artwork-based rendering.
FAQs
Common questions about packaging renders
How much does 3D packaging rendering cost?
It depends on the number of packs, how many angles and variants you need, and whether motion or 360 spins are involved. A single hero render costs far less than a full range with multiple SKUs and turntable animations. We scope a fixed price after a short consult, so the cost is clear before we start.
Can you render my packaging before it is manufactured?
Yes, that is the main reason to use rendering. We build the images from your artwork and dieline, so you can show a finished-looking pack to buyers, backers, or shoppers before anything is produced. As long as the design and dieline exist, the physical product does not need to.
What is the difference between a 3D render and product photography?
A render is a computer-generated image built from your artwork and a 3D model, while product photography is a photo of a real, physical product. Rendering is used before the product exists or when a reshoot is impractical, and photography is used once you have the actual item. If you already have a product and want its existing photos cleaned up, that is photo editing, not artwork-based rendering.
Will the render match the printed product exactly?
A good render is very close, but it is a visualization, not a press proof, so the exact printed color and finish are confirmed on a physical proof or sample. Screens and print reproduce color differently, and materials like foil and metallic ink behave differently in person. We build renders to be accurate and honest about what a screen can and cannot promise.
Can you make renders for Amazon and other marketplaces?
Yes. We produce clean packshots sized and formatted to common marketplace requirements, such as a white background and the right resolution, generated from the same 3D model as your other visuals. This lets a listing go live with consistent images before stock photography is possible. We format to the marketplace's current image rules.
What do you need from me to start?
Ideally your final label artwork and the dieline for each pack, plus a note on the angles and look you want. If you do not have a dieline or finished artwork yet, we can create those first as a separate step. The better the input files, the more accurate and faster the renders.
